Franchises with the Most Films + Movie Review: Predator: Badlands + Trailer Park: Scream 7

Mike talks about the Top 10 Film Franchises with the movies each. From Star Wars to James Bone. He plays the game: Dead, Alive or Revive when deciding which of them have peaked and which still have life in them that we’re not burnt out on watching.  In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Predator: Badlands starring Elle Fanning. It’s set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, cast out from his clan, teams up with a humanoid robot on a dangerous mission to find the ultimate enemy. Mike talks about how you can hop into this movie without seeing any other Predator film, the language that was created for it and how it unexpectedly had a lot of heart.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Scream 7 where Ghostface is back and so is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. This time the killer is after her daughter. Mike talks about how the Scream franchise keeps sucking him back in after he thought he was done and why we are doomed for constant reboots and sequels.

What's God Got To Do With It?: "Why Do I Keep Repeating the Same Mistakes, Even When I Pray for Change?"

You pray for change, you genuinely want to do better, and yet… you find yourself stuck in the same old habits. Sound familiar? In today’s episode, we answer a listener’s question about why breaking free from repetitive struggles feels so hard—even when we’re actively seeking God’s help. Whether it’s self-sabotage, toxic relationships, negative self-talk, or cycles of fear and doubt, we’ll unpack the three key reasons why we keep repeating patterns: how our brains crave familiarity, how subconscious beliefs shape our actions, and how spiritual battles keep us stuck.

But here’s the truth: You are not broken. You are not beyond hope. And this cycle doesn’t have to define you. We’ll dive into how Romans 12:2 shows us that real transformation happens through the renewing of our minds, how neuroscience confirms that change is possible, and how the Holy Spirit empowers us beyond sheer willpower. If you’re tired of feeling stuck and want real, lasting change, this episode will give you the tools—and the encouragement—to step into true freedom.

MOVIE MIKE: Best and Worst of October + Movie Review: Bugonia + Trailer Park: Send Help

Mike and Kelsey are back to recap the best and worst movies they saw in October. Mike shares why he is worried about his mental state as he has found himself rooting for the villains in movies lately. Kelsey shares what book to movie adaption was a total cringe fest. Mike also shares what scene made him unexpectedly emotional. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Bugonia starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. It’s about two conspiracy-obsessed men kidnap the CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she's an alien who wants to destroy Earth. Mike talks about why Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons performances were next level, whether it was worth it to see in 35 mm and why he is okay with overhyping this movie.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Send Help starring  Rachel McAdams. She plays an overworked and unappreciated employee belittled by her boss, played by Dylan O’Brien. The feuding co-workers crash-land on a deserted island and have to work together or die trying. Mike talks about each of their biggest movies and resurgences, Sam Rami's signature style and why this wouldn't be a nightmare if it happened to him.

Write Your Story: How Radical Honesty Makes You Unstoppable

When someone asks, “how are you doing?” Do you smile and say “I’m fine”?

Or do you tell the truth?

You might have a thousand reasons for holding back your truth in the face of a relatively benign question like “how are you doing?” — some of which may even be justified. But I suppose a better question is: do you know what is true for you?

Are you in touch with your own truth?

Are you able to share it with at least one trusted person?

And have you considered the power and possibility of sharing your truth more broadly?

This is what I’m exploring in today's episode. No matter how impossible it might seem to tell the truth — no matter who you think it might hurt or what you worry would unravel, the old maxim is right: only really the truth can set you free.

AMY: F-Bombs and Feelings: What Cursing Says About You

Feeling “blah”? You’re not alone. Good news, though? This episode is funny! Kat and Amy dive into everything from rage showers (yep, they’re real) to treadmill meltdowns and the odd debate of “zero” vs “oh” when saying numbers. But the real kicker: can swearing actually make you more authentic? Kat breaks down the surprising psychology behind profanity, and why dropping an f-bomb might say more about your honesty than your manners. It’s a messy and unexpectedly insightful ride through emotion, language, and laughter.
