I don't really think about how busy my grandkids, my dog and the cats make my life. This weekend was a perfect example of that. Gracie and Chris went out trick or treating with Kim on Friday Night. I had to go out and pick them up because it got dark so fast and there was no moon. Trick or treaters were all over Matamoras and Port Jervis. Halloween is more popular than ever. On Saturday I was at the fall open house at Sussex County Community College. I love talking to the students while I'm there. You can watch my interview with student ambassador Yanerix on the 1023 WSUS Facebook page. It was also great to see my long time co-worker Tony Dee. Who now manages the radio station at SCCC.
All of my grand kids were adorable in their costumes. However, it was our dog Millie who stole the show. She gets car sick and has separation anxiety. So taking her out to have a bath and get her nails clipped was a concern for us. Then we found out about a vet tech in the neighborhood who does home visits. Millie got her nails clipped and bathed in the comfort of our home Saturday afternoon. Kim and I were there to comfort her through the whole process. Including hoisting her up to get her nails clipped and lifting all 80 pounds of her in the tub! When the clocks change I have a ritual. I clean out my sock and underwear drawers. Then buy new socks and underwear if needed. A few of my t-shirts were ripped and worn. I only had 4 pairs of matching socks! So on Sunday I had to buy new socks and T-shirts. I still can't figure out where all my socks go!
