Marco Rocco is a very talented 12 year old Little League baseball player from Haddonfield. He hit a home run during a playoff game this week and was immediately thrown out of the game for flipping his bat on the way to first base. Little League officials also suspended him from the next game for what they called "horseplay and unsportsmanlike behavior." Which would have meant he could not play in last night's championship game at Deptford Little League Complex. Marco's dad didn't take what the league did lying down. He took league officials to court and won the case. In Gloucester County Court yesterday Judge Robert Malstein said Marco would "suffer immediate and reparable harm" if he was not allowed to play in the championship game. Adding "He can't get this game back." So Marco did play last night but his team didn't win and Marco didn't hit any home runs. He struck out twice. He is only 12 years old. Maybe all this ridiculous attention was too much. At least the judge put the Little League Officials who were on a real power trip in their place.
