My " Chillin and Grillin" July 4th Weekend in Pictures

July 4th Weekend is always one of my favorite holiday weekends of the year. The pools open and the garden is done. There's plenty of summer left and my son Matt celebrates a birthday. This weekend was made even better because all the major supermarkets had steaks on sale. Great prices on T bone and New York Strip Steaks were all over the place. We decided to grill T Bone Steaks with Worcestershire Sauce. Yes, I actually had steak with no cheese! We enjoyed the pool everyday too. Swimming with my grand kids is one of my life's great pleasures. Now the have goggles and tubes too. So they're having more fun than ever. Sunday we went back to the Blackstone and made cheeseburgers. I guess we have decided to start a new tradition inspired by one of my daughter's friends. Instead of paper plates we're eating off paper towels. They worked well for burgers, taters and corn on the cob. I'm not sure if they would have been good with potato salad. Yesterday was my son Matt's 34th birthday. We stopped by to see Matt and his family on Friday because he planned to work overtime on Sunday. Charlotte is almost 10 months old. She is the most alert and aware baby I've ever seen. Her expressions are priceless. She seems to know exactly what we're talking about. I hope you had a great three day weekend too!
