Saturday Morning I kicked off our Summer Stuff the Bus Weekend at Shop Rite in Sussex. By 9AM it was already 80 degrees. It was great to be there with all the enthusiastic Shop Rite crew. By the time I left the donations of food for local kids was already impressive. Thank You to everyone who stopped by and was happy to help. Most of the weekend after that was spent soaking in my pool. My grandkids would tire themselves out in the water. Then rest inside for a while. Before going back in the water. All of this was very tiring for grandpa! We were in the mood for meatloaf this weekend so that's what we did. The oven was only on for an hour. We got a little creative too. We seasoned the meatloaf with lemon pepper seasoning. Which is making a comeback at my house. The meatloaf came out great! I couldn't let the weekend pass without getting some work done outside. The grass is growing so fast. I only mowed half the yard before I threw in the towel. I planted some zinnias in my front yard too. Hopefully, the insects will give them a chance to grow tall and beautiful. My son Matt sent is an adorable picture of Miss Charlotte. Last week she tried avocados. This week she tried an orange. She seems to love them as much as her grandpa does!
