The law of supply and demand just made summer travel much cheaper for United Airlines customers flying out of Newark. The recent chaos at Newark Airport lead many customers to choose other airports. Now United flights out of Newark have plenty of empty seats. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said: "We lost a lot of bookings" so many more seats are available. He went on to say fares "flying out of Newark are probably going to be the cheapest they're ever going to be in history." "I don't really like t but you probably ought to book." United has more flights out of Newark than any other airline. I wonder if some of the other airlines will lower their air fares to try and compete. Wouldn't that be nice?
