I love the warmer months. Swimming in our pool, grilling outside, the bright flowers and sitting on my deck early in the morning listening to the birds. I hate all the work that has to be done to get there. All the rain we've had recently has put me way behind. So I took the day off on Friday to get a jump start and try to get caught up. I'm pretty happy with my progress. Though I won't be done by Memorial Day. As of this morning the pool is open, half of the deck is repaired and stained, the backyard grass is mowed, flowers are in pots on the deck, the kitchen floor is scrubbed and the refrigerator is thoroughly deep cleaned. To reward myself for all that hard work I made a steak dinner with white rice and barbecue sauce Saturday Night.
Sunday I had a sweet visit with my grand daughter Charlotte. She is 7 months old already and is starting to recognize me! Her mom and dad are already encouraging her to eat healthy, She loves avocados.
