The Mets odds to win it all are not good but today I'm still happy fan!

I've been a Mets fan since I was 9 years old. The first game I ever went to with my dad was back in 1970. It was a double header with the Phillies. Nolan Ryan and Jerry Koosman were the Mets pitchers. Over the years I've gotten my heart broken many times. Which is why I went to bed after the Mets fell behind 2 to nothing. There were no signs of any timely clutch hitting. Then just as I started to doze off my son texted me. "What happened we won 4 to 2." He was at work and stopped watching when I did. It only took a minute to find the video of Pete Alonso's three run homer. I got out of bed to check more sources and make sure it wasn't a cruel AI hoax on Mets fans. Then I saw my sweet grandson still sleeping with my Mets blanket. We took it out this week for good luck. I think it worked.

Like many ball players I'm very superstitious. When I turned the game off they won. So should I watch this weekend or not? Maybe it was the Mets blanket? Maybe it was just about time Pete Alonso's bat woke up. The sports betting sites are not giving the Mets much of a chance to win it all. Both the Mets and Tigers are +950 which is not good. The odds makers like the Dodgers and Yankees chances much better +350 and +390 respectively. The Mets and Phillies start their series with two games this weekend. Both of them are in Philadelphia. Let's hope I'm at least this happy Monday morning. In the meantime, I'll be sleeping with that Mets blanket while my grandson stays with his dad. I'm still not sure if I should watch the games or not!
