"Bohemian Rhapsody" Music Producer Dies

The producer who helped make the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" a legend has died. Roy Thomas Baker worked on Queen's first four albums, and also worked with other artists, including David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, and The Rolling Stones. In a 1995 interview with Sound On Sound, Baker said the opera section was only going to have a couple "Galileos," but they kept adding to it. He said "the opera section alone" took about three weeks to record, which he noted "was the average time spent on a whole album" during the mid-70s. The six-minute "Bohemian Rhapsody" hit top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976 during its original release, then soared to number two in 1992 after it was featured in a famous lip-sync scene in the movie "Wayne's World." Baker died on April 12th at the age of 78.
