This was a wonderful weekend where the gorgeous weather definitely cooperated! You never know how many beautiful weekends we'll have left before even more leaves fall and the weather gets colder. Friday night we went for a wonderful sunset walk at Crystal Springs Resort. We weren't in any hurry at all and just savored the breathtaking sunset. We also have fun enjoying sunsets when they're not at 5pm like which will be happening before we know it. Friday night I kept it basic for me and girlfriend Brooks grilling a couple of hamburgers and hot dogs. They came out delicious.
Saturday morning I accomplished some good errands getting food for the weekend and supplies too. I went to Sussex Meat Packing on 23 in Wantage and was able to buy two New York Strip Steaks. I was also happy to run into Joanne who did such a fantastic job making our custom Linguica sausage last month. I warned her next month we'll probably be buying another order. Fantastic! I then did some grocery shopping at Sussex ShopRite. I forgot my grocery carrying bags! Talk about a now Jersey Fail. I was able to get a stray grocery carriage that didn't need a quarter. Thank goodness because I didn't have a quarter on me. Talk about another near Jersey Fail. It was overall a very successful trip to the grocery store and getting errands done. I then got some bacon and egg sandwiches from Hamburg Hot Bagels. Talk about delicious food filling up the weekend.
I took Brooks to Hef's Hutt for her first time. She was blown away seeing the old Playboy Club / Legends in Vernon after hearing about it all of her life. I showed her how Hef's Hutt is a play on words tribute to the late Hugh Heffner. We enjoyed a round of drinks enjoying the amazing golf course view on their outdoor patio. It was so peaceful. We were lucky because half of it was rented out for a 70th birthday party. Brooks and I enjoyed watching the sweet family celebrating together and kids all running around happy playing. Success.
We then made our way over to Crystal Springs again, this time for a Celebration Of Life. It was a beautiful, wonderful tribute to bestie Carrie's late Dad. We were so happy to see so many in the family, some new and many old friends. They even let us enjoy the wonderfully catered food, it must've come straight up from Chef's Garden! I didn't eat too much because we knew that Saturday night's main event was going to be me grilling our steaks. I can't let anything spoil that dinner for me! I must say the steaks and roasted potatoes came out honestly phenomenal! The steaks were delicious, juicy and red. My Longhorn Seasoning was right on the money, which reminds me I need to pick up some more of it. The roasted potatoes from ShopRite were mouthwatering as well.

Sunday morning here we go! My first New York Football Giants game of the season. This was my first time taking Brooks out to enjoy our fun, delicious and at times wild tailgate party. We love our Parking Lot D6 Tailgating friends. They're wonderful friends who are so inclusive, it's almost as if I grew up with them too. They're a very huge reason why I now usually go to a few Giants home games each season. The food was out of this planet! The weather was wonderful. It was great getting to hang out with Roy, Denise, Artie, Margie, and so many more! Everything was terrific.
This was different because the Giants won! It was such a fun excited buzz around tailgating ahead of Giants rookie Quarterback Jaxon Dart's first ever NFL start. To think he won his first start is so much fun. I hope that Wide Receiver star Malik Nabers recovers from his unfortunate torn ACL. Can the New York Giants / Jets owners please put in natural grass on the field at MetLife? They can do it for FIFA but not for the NFL? How is that even possible?
We had great seats in Section 123, Row 26. The weather was so gorgeous it didn't feel like a football game at all. You almost felt like you were tailgating at an intense Country music concert!
Overall I had an action packed weekend. Time to start planning next weekend!
