New Jersey’s ski, snowboard, and outdoor community is getting together at Mayo Performing Arts Center for the New Jersey Winter Kickoff. This one-night event benefits Winter4Kids and The Hession Foundation. Before the show, guests can meet local outdoor organizations and partners, and there are prizes and giveaways throughout the night. The main event is a big-screen showing of Actually, It Is Rocket Science, the new film from Teton Gravity Research. It follows top skiers from Haines, Alaska, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to Japan, Finland, and Andorra as they work out the physics behind big mountain lines and massive gaps.
The film starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Mayo Performing Arts Center, 100 South Street, Morristown, New Jersey 07960. Tickets are $30 to $40. Guests are invited to bring a new or gently worn winter coat for men, women, or children, which will be donated to Morristown’s Market Street Mission.
Tickets are on sale at MayoArts.org. You can also reach the box office at 973-539-8008.
